More Women in Music

We’ve continued to receive great feedback from followers and listeners of the series regarding the women that are in their own music collections. Ranging from crates of vinyl records to cd towers, car radios to clock radios, and cassette tapes to mp3 files, we’ve highlighted comments about some of your favorite artists and the ways in which you listen to them.

Some of my new finds from suggestions given to us from comments on the Hidden World of Girls Website and the series’ social media sites include:

Lykke Li

Odetta

Feist

Ana Moura

Ruthie Foster

Beach House

If you’re interested in exploring new music or old favorites, then click here to see our continually updated list of female musicians from our prior posting: Girls on Your Turntable.

Also feel free to help us add to our expanding list by leaving a comment with the girls on your current playlist on the “Girls on Your Turntable” webpage.

Today’s Question: What women are on your turntable/cd player/ipod (and by the way which device ARE you listening to?)
